Just received that welcome back letter from my school. My main goal for this school year is my organization and time management. So I am getting started! I really want to make sure everything has a place and that I am able to keep up with my new responsibilities this year. I'm actually excited and really believe this year will be one of the best!
There are those core things that I always need so I wanted to make sure I already have a place for them to be. Another binder. But this year I believe they will be more successful--trying to do it with a purpose this time around.
The binder includes 6 tabs for me to keep everything I usually need for planning and meetings. Usually I'd have to go to multiple binders to pull things together for conferences and meetings--I no longer want to do that. The tabs are
- Fabulous Fourth (Grade level team items)
- Leadership
- STEM
- Goals
- Observations
- Math
- Science
- Health

Simple will get the job done. |
I am big on actually writting things down and ALWAYS write lists of some sort. I briefly tried this website/app as a virtual to-do list. It worked well, I think the physcially aspect of writing something down and crossing it off was jsut missing for me. So I decided to make my own to-do list with a slight twist. ( Trying to do everything with a purpose so it will be used). I made a simple table with 3 columns titled- date assigned, task, date completed. The last column has a box for me to check once completed. I am calling it my accountability list. This way I am able to *hopefully* actually get things completed in a timely fashion. I would write lists and some things would get pushed back or forgotten. Also to see how long it takes me to complete a task and make adjustments as necessary. I plan to put a few of these in each section of my binder.
